A. USGA Rules of Golf apply at all times EXCEPT as outlined below.
B. You may improve your lie from tee to the green "2 STANDARD GRIP LENGTHS MAXIMUM." Putter grips may not be used. The improvement may not be closer to the hole.
C. Ball in sand trap may be lifted and DROPPED in trap if lie is in an animal or human foot print.
D. Any ball striking a POWER POLE or UTILITY LINE MUST be rehit, no penalty. There is no line of sight relief!
E. Tee Box: Players may elect to play either Gold (Back) or Green (middle) tees. Golfers aged 75 or over may play from the red (forward) tees. Players under 75 may request a change of tee box based on a physical impairment. Tee box can be changed ONLY during January of each year. Once the tee box is selected it is permanent unless approved by the Tournament Director and the Board.
F. Player may clean or replace ball at any time (except in a hazard).
G. Ball hit into water on holes 2,4,10 and 18 may be dropped on far side of hazard with penalty of one (1) stroke - EXCEPT - if TEE SHOT on holes 2 or 18 goes in water, drop must be on TEE side of hazard, one stroke penalty. All other “water holes” play as normal hazards.
H. If ball is deemed LOST, and is agreed it is not in a hazard or out of bounds, a ball may be dropped at an AGREED upon spot where the ball was thought to be with penalty of one stroke.
I. The highest score which can be recorded on any hole is a triple bogey.
SECTION 1: The Tournament Director shall be responsible for all tournament activities.
SECTION 2: All tournaments will be conducted according to USGA, Local Course and Association rules. Violation of rules will result in player disqualification.
SECTION 3: The Tournament Director and Two Board Members will be the authority on all rules disputes.
SECTION 4: The Handicap Chairman will provide handicaps based on Landa Legends play for all Association members. Handicaps are based on the score(s) submitted minus one stroke for any triple bogey. The highest score for handicap purposes is a double bogey. The highest handicap is a 36.
SECTION 5: Each member is responsible for submitting a CERTIFIED scorecard to the Tournament Director at the completion of play. ALL CARDS MUST BE SIGNED AND ATTESTED. ALL MEMBER SCORES MUST BE TOTALED AND SUMMARIZED AS DICTATED BY THE TYPE OF PLAY. ALL CARDS MUST BE LEGIBLE. ALL PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SCORE AS SUBMITTED ON THE SCORECARD.
SECTION 6: Tournament charges for the game(s) played will be determined by the Board of Directors. $3.00 of Tournament charges goes to the General Fund with remainder going to prize money. A player must have ten (10) rounds with the Legends in order to receive prize money for a low net score for a team tournament.
SECTION 7: Players who sign up for an event and then fail to show up to play and do not inform the Tournament Director will be assessed an $8.00 penalty. This must be paid prior to the player participating in another event.
